Authorized Retailer

Buy With Confidence:

Max Wigs & Hairpieces sells ONLY genuine name brand wigs & hairpieces. The online wig market is FULL of counterfeit hair products, cheap "knock-offs" or Asian-made "copies" made to resemble the styles and collections we carry and deceive buyers. They reproduce cheap labels and/or tags which are then sewn onto the wigs or hairpieces and sell them off as genuine originals.

Don't be Fooled

Don't be fooled while some retailers of our brands on eBay, Amazon or other websites may have obtained their products legally, some retailers may have certainly procured those products illegally. The manufacturers we carry will NOT honor the manufacturer's warranty and cannot assure the authenticity or condition of any products sold through an un-authorized dealer. If you are thinking about purchasing your wig or hairpiece elsewhere, be warned that you should not take the word of the online retailer as to whether or not they are authorized dealers. If they are not, any obvious defects or issues will not be covered by any valid manufacturer's warranty. The best strategy is to contact the manufacturer directly and ask them. See our list below.

How To Spot A Counterfeit:

There are many tell tale signs you can check to make sure you receive authentic products. Please check below if you think you may have been a victim of a counterfeit wig or hairpiece.

  1. Packaging - All wigs & hairpieces should be delivered to customers in their original manufacturer packaging, be very careful of stores delivering orders without branded boxes or packaging. Remember, if you order a Raquel Welch wig, it should be delivered to you in a Raquel Welch box with matching tags and labels, this rule applies to all of the brands we sell.

  2. Hair Quality Differences - If you've ordered a product many times and you receive a package where the hair is a different texture or has a different luster or shine than items you normally receive.

  3. Price - Watch prices closely. You may see products from some stores that do not fit into the normal pricing structure you see from other retailers. Stores offering unrealistic pricing are highly suspect. As the saying goes, "if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is". Use some common sense when purchasing wigs & hairpieces. If a wig sells on 4 websites for $159.00 and you see it somewhere else listed at $99.00, chances are it is a cheap counterfeit.

  4. Wear & Tear - If you experience premature wear from your wig or hairpieces, it may be a counterfeit manufactured with inferior synthetic or human hair. The average wear life for a synthetic wig or hairpiece is approximately 1-2 months, the average life for a human hair wig or hairpiece is approximately 5-6 months.

We receive MANY calls from customers who state they've been delivered different products from multiple stores when they ordered the identical item. Identifying a counterfeit can be extremely hard to determine, however we do know it is a VERY big problem with online merchants. If you ever have any doubts about a store you are considering buying from or have questions about the authenticity of a product you purchase, the best thing to do is contact the manufacturer via phone or on their website. Make sure they are an authorized retailer, if they aren't, do not buy from them. We work diligently to stomp out these fraudulent activities in our industry and will deal directly with the manufacturers to assist with the investigations.
